Coquine menu sounds better than it tastes
This will be a short post: for anyone interested in trying Coquine, I wanted to point out how disappointing it was. This French bistro has an appetizing menu, but sadly, the food did not deliver to expectations. Poutine and duck confit did not have much confit at all (if any), barely any cheese curds (it's a french bistro!), and the fries were like soggy day old fries. I was also excited for my halibut, but despite being baked in parchment, it still managed to be dry and the vegetables were overcooked. The best entree at the table was the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin - the Waldorf salad (apples) had a nice crisp taste off-setting the meat. The menu far outshined the food: good marketing or just bad execution?
